En esta segunda entrega, profundizaremos en los diferentes tipos de filtros utilizados en sistemas hidráulicos, esenciales para garantizar un rendimiento óptimo y una mayor durabilidad de los equipos. Los filtros se clasifican de las siguientes dos maneras:   **Filtración nominal** - Calificación arbitraria proporcionada por el fabricante del filtro - No sigue ningún estándar. Diferente para cada fabricante **Filtración absoluta** - Estándar ISO de paso múltiple usado para calificarlos - Clasificado con un tamaño de micrón y eficiencia (conocido como "Relación beta") La filtración nominal puede ser útil para algunas aplicaciones de lubricación general que requieren filtración básica, pero los sistemas hidráulicos siempre deben usar filtración absoluta para que se conozca el rendimiento exacto. La filtración absoluta se clasifica utilizando una prueba estándar de múltiples pasos ISO, lo que permite que el tamaño mínimo de las partículas que el filtro atrapa en micrones y la eficiencia sean comparables entre los fabricantes. Eficiencia % = \[(beta - 1) / beta\] \* 100.* Se recomienda un filtro con una relación beta de al menos 100 (99% de eficiencia) para su uso en sistemas hidráulicos. Muchos de los principales fabricantes de filtros ahora venden elementos beta 1000 (99.9% de eficiencia) como estándar.   --- ## **Ubicación del filtro** Los filtros se pueden colocar en varios lugares dentro del sistema. Por ejemplo: Los filtros de succión están en la entrada de la bomba y pueden ser externos al depósito; más comúnmente, están sumergidos en el aceite dentro del depósito. Estos son filtros de malla diseñados para mantener las partículas grandes fuera de la bomba, pero no permiten la eliminación de partículas pequeñas. Deben inspeccionarse regularmente para asegurarse de que no estén obstruidos o colapsados. Los filtros de la línea de presión se encuentran en las líneas principales que salen de la bomba. A menudo, se usan en sistemas que tienen componentes críticos aguas abajo para garantizar que se eliminen las partículas antes de llegar a estos componentes. Para sistemas con válvulas servo y proporcionales, se recomienda un filtro de línea de presión sin derivación para proteger la válvula en todo momento. Los filtros de línea de retorno son el tipo más común utilizado en hidráulica. Proporcionan filtración en el lado de baja presión del sistema para todo el fluido hidráulico que regresa al depósito. Los filtros de riñón son sistemas de filtro fuera de línea que no forman parte del circuito hidráulico principal. Su propósito es filtrar el aceite en el depósito constantemente; pueden instalarse permanentemente en el sistema o ser portátiles, como en un carrito de filtro. Si los conteos de partículas en un sistema en particular son regularmente altos, esto indica la necesidad de reducir la entrada de contaminantes y / o actualizar los filtros a bordo para mantener el objetivo deseado. Los filtros de recirculación de riñón siempre deben tener la entrada y la salida en los extremos opuestos del depósito para garantizar que se filtre todo el aceite en el tanque.   --- ## **Venteos** Los sistemas hidráulicos tienden a "inhalar" aire hacia adentro y hacia afuera debido a los cambios en el nivel de aceite en el tanque, las fluctuaciones de temperatura y las condiciones atmosféricas. Los venteos permiten el acceso al depósito a la atmósfera abierta para este propósito y, por lo tanto, pueden ser una fuente importante de ingreso de contaminantes. Muchos sistemas hidráulicos vienen equipados con venteos deficientes que tienen poca filtración y ninguna capacidad de eliminación de agua. Pero deben usarse venteos con clasificación de filtro conocida (micrones y relación beta) y remoción de agua para eliminar este punto de ingreso. En la Figura 3 se muestra un ejemplo de este tipo de venteo. Cortesía de Des-Case Corporation.*   Hay muchos otros tipos de respiradores de alta calidad disponibles para adaptarse al entorno dado, que incluyen alta humedad, temperaturas extremas, trabajo pesado y aisladores de depósito lleno (estilo de vejiga) para atmósferas contaminantes extremas. | *El análisis regular del aceite es importante no solo para comprender el estado del aceite, sino también para garantizar la salud del sistema hidráulico. Tomar muestras consistentes y de rutina permite analizar los datos para detectar tendencias en apoyo de los programas de mantenimiento preventivo y proactivo.
